The franchise is based in New Hyde Park, New York, and began expanding through franchising in 2021.

Pharmaconic locations offer a broad mix of services found in today’s community pharmacies, such as prescription dispensing, immunizations, wellness and supplement products, compounding solutions, durable medical equipment, and coordinated support alongside local medical professionals.

Training

Pharmaconic Franchising Inc. offers a comprehensive training and support program designed to ensure franchisees are prepared to operate a pharmacy successfully. Here’s a breakdown of the training components:

  1. Initial Training Program
Pharmaconic provides initial training at its headquarters or an affiliated outlet in Long Island, New York. This training is mandatory and completion is at the sole discretion of the franchisor. The training covers operational procedures, systems, and regulatory compliance relevant to running the pharmacy.
  2. Operations Manual and Training Aids
The franchisee receives the Pharmaconic Operations Manual along with other designated manuals and training aids. These materials are essential for day-to-day operations and are updated as necessary to reflect changes in procedures or regulatory requirements.
  3. Post-Opening Training and Conferences
After opening, Pharmaconic may offer mandatory or optional additional training programs. Franchisees are required to attend up to five days of annual training, participate in a three-day annual conference or business meeting, and join online training sessions not exceeding one day per month. Noncompliance with these requirements constitutes a default under the Franchise Agreement.

Territory Protection

Pharmaconic Franchising Inc. provides franchisees with a defined, limited protected territory to operate a single pharmacy outlet. This territory is based on a marked map or a list of zip codes and generally includes a minimum half-mile radius around the location.

The area is determined based on factors like demographics and population density, and becomes part of the Franchise Agreement. However, the franchisee does not receive exclusive territorial rights.

Pharmaconic reserves the right to establish other franchise locations, company-owned outlets, or other channels of distribution that may operate within or near the defined territory. While the franchisor agrees not to open another Pharmaconic outlet within the assigned area during the agreement term (if the franchisee is not in default), this does not prevent other forms of competition under the brand’s control.
