Ohm Fitness Franchise FDD, Costs & Fees (2025)

Ohm Fitness is a fitness franchise that specializes in Electro-Muscle Stimulation (EMS) training, offering high-tech, efficient workouts in a short amount of time.

OHM Fitness is a cutting-edge fitness franchise that redefines traditional workouts through the use of Electro Muscle Stimulation (EMS) technology. Founded in 2021 by seasoned entrepreneur Doug Payne—who previously played pivotal roles in the growth of Massage Envy, European Wax Center, and Orangetheory Fitness—OHM Fitness opened its first studio in Scottsdale, Arizona, in August 2022.

The company is headquartered in Scottsdale and began franchising in 2022, rapidly expanding its presence across the United States. At the core of OHM Fitness's innovation is the proprietary EMPower Suit, a wireless EMS bodysuit that delivers electrical impulses to stimulate muscle contractions.

What sets OHM Fitness apart in the competitive fitness industry is its unique blend of advanced technology and group fitness dynamics. The studios offer an immersive experience with curated music and lighting, creating an energetic environment that motivates members.

Training

Ohm Fitness provides a structured and multi-phase training program to ensure franchisees and their staff are well-prepared to operate their studio effectively:

  1. Initial Training Program: The Managing Owner, initial managers, and all instructors (referred to as “fitness specialists”) must successfully complete the initial training program at least 30 days before the studio opens. This includes franchise management training and class training.
  2. Franchise Management Training: Conducted over three days at the affiliate-owned OHM® Fitness Studio in Scottsdale, Arizona, this portion includes shadowing an existing manager and covers operational and business development topics.
  3. Fitness Class Training: Lasting approximately five days, this training focuses on instructing beginner, intermediate, and advanced fitness classes. It is mandatory for all fitness specialists and the Managing Owner.
  4. Training for New Hires: If a new Managing Owner, manager, or instructor is hired after the initial training, they must attend and successfully complete the same training before starting their roles.

Territory Protection

Ohm Fitness provides its franchisees with a defined territorial protection, referred to as the “Territory,” which encompasses approximately 10,000 households with a minimum annual income of $75,000.

This territory is exclusive in the sense that the franchisor will not establish or allow another OHM® Studio to be physically located within it during the franchise term. The boundaries are custom-defined and may be illustrated via maps, landmarks, or zip codes based on the approved studio location.

However, this exclusivity is limited to physical studio placements. Ohm Fitness reserves the right to market and sell its products and services within the territory through alternative channels of distribution, including e-commerce and other indirect methods.
