Molly Tea is a fast-growing jasmine milk tea franchise inspired by traditional Chinese tea culture. The brand was founded in 2021 in Shenzhen, China, and quickly gained traction for its floral-focused tea concept.

Molly Tea positions itself as a premium tea brand that blends heritage, craftsmanship, and modern design. Its identity centers on jasmine aroma and refined tea flavors rather than sugary add-ins.

Molly Tea is headquartered in Shenzhen and began franchising shortly after launching its first stores. Today, the brand operates thousands of locations worldwide, including outlets in North America, Europe, and Southeast Asia.

The Molly Tea menu focuses on jasmine-based and floral tea beverages. Core offerings include jasmine milk tea, whipped cream tea drinks, and oat-milk-based tea options. The brand emphasizes premium tea leaves, consistent preparation standards, and balanced flavor profiles.

Training

Molly Tea provides a structured training program to prepare franchisees and their management teams for operational success:

  1. Initial Training Program: The franchisee, Operating Principal, and manager must complete a seven-day training session at the corporate office or other designated locations, followed by a 20-day on-site training at the franchisee’s Molly Tea Store. This training includes classroom instruction and hands-on operations training. If additional employees are trained, a fee of $3,000 per person applies.
  2. Training Completion and Replacement Requirements: All designated trainees must meet admission and performance standards. If a trainee fails, the franchisee must promptly designate a replacement, who must also complete the program before store opening. Failure to do so may delay the opening or lead to termination of the franchise agreement.
  3. Additional and Remedial Training: Molly Tea may offer or require ongoing training sessions, seminars, or remedial programs for franchisee management and staff. The franchisee must cover all costs, including travel, lodging, and meals, and ensure employees complete training within specified timelines.
  4. System-Wide Conferences and Meetings: Franchisees may be required to attend periodic system-wide or personal meetings hosted by Molly Tea to stay updated on brand standards and practices. Attendance may incur a reasonable participation fee.

Territory Protection

Molly Tea grants franchisees a designated territory as defined in the Franchise Agreement, which may be based on demographic, geographic, and economic factors. While the franchisor agrees not to allow another Molly Tea Store within that territory during the agreement term, this protection is limited and not exclusive.

The franchisor retains the right to advertise, promote, and sell products within the same area and through various other channels. Moreover, Molly Tea may develop or license other facilities under the same or different trademarks—even in the designated area—and distribute through online platforms, mobile units, or third-party retailers.

Franchisees may also face competition from other Molly Tea Stores, brands controlled by the franchisor, or different sales channels like hotels or special events.
