Training

Honest Hospitality franchise offers a structured set of training programs to ensure franchisees and their staff are well-prepared to operate their restaurants effectively. Here’s a detailed explanation of the training provided:

  1. Initial Training Program: Honest Hospitality provides an Initial Training Program free of cost for the franchisee (if an individual), the original Operating Principal, and the original Restaurant Manager. This program is mandatory, and successful completion is required to maintain the franchise agreement. The training is conducted in English, and the franchisee is responsible for covering all associated travel, lodging, and meal expenses, as well as interpreter fees if needed.
  2. Opening Support: During the opening of the first Honest Restaurant, Honest Hospitality supplies one trainer for up to 10 days at no additional cost. This on-site training covers operational support to ensure a smooth launch. Franchisees can request additional on-site training or assistance beyond this period, though it is subject to the franchisor’s availability and may incur daily fees.
  3. Ongoing Training and Conferences: Honest Hospitality may periodically develop new training programs that the franchisee, Operating Principal, Restaurant Manager, or other designated personnel must attend and complete successfully. Additionally, the franchisor organizes annual conferences, conventions, or training sessions that the franchisee and/or Operating Principal are required to attend. These events may involve fees determined at the franchisor’s discretion, with all associated expenses borne by the franchisee.

Territory Protection

Honest Hospitality provides its franchisees with a designated territory, which is defined by a radius around the restaurant location—ranging from 0.5 miles in urban areas to 5 miles in rural areas. However, the franchise explicitly states that this territory is not exclusive, meaning franchisees may face competition from other franchisees, company-owned outlets, or other channels of distribution managed by Honest Hospitality.

The franchisor retains the right to operate or franchise other restaurants and businesses within and outside of this territory under certain conditions.

Additionally, Honest Hospitality reserves broad rights to engage in business activities within the franchisee's territory, including selling through alternative distribution channels such as the internet, supermarkets, and non-traditional locations like airports or stadiums.
