Training
CruiseOne provides the following types of training programs to its franchisees:
- Mandatory Initial Training: This is required for all new and intermediate franchisees and involves a blended curriculum of eLearning and live instructor-led training in Broward County, Florida, or virtually. The training covers key topics like sales techniques, business operations, booking systems, marketing, and travel protection. Franchisees must complete this training within 90 days of signing the agreement.
- Experienced Franchisee Training: Experienced franchisees have access to an independent study program through the CruiseOne Learning Management System. They may also be required to attend the Mandatory Initial Training but are not eligible for benefits like transportation credits or lodging provided to new franchisees.
- Refresher and Additional Training: CruiseOne may offer advanced or refresher training programs at its principal training facility or other designated locations. Franchisees are responsible for all associated costs, including a standard training fee, travel, meals, and lodging.
- On-Demand and Virtual Training: For continued skill enhancement, CruiseOne provides on-demand virtual training at different levels (101, 201, and 301) covering advanced business development, product experience, and trade show preparation. These sessions allow franchisees to deepen their expertise at their convenience.
Territory Protection
CruiseOne does not provide territory protection to its franchisees. The franchise agreement explicitly states that franchisees are not granted an exclusive or protected territory. This allows CruiseOne or its affiliates to operate other CruiseOne businesses or franchises in close proximity to an existing franchisee's location, without any geographical restrictions.
Furthermore, CruiseOne reserves the right to utilize its branding, systems, and marketing efforts across multiple channels, including the Internet and other alternative methods, without regard to franchisee territories.
This flexibility ensures CruiseOne's ability to expand its reach and adapt to market demands but may result in competition between franchisees or with the franchisor's own operations.
