Boss' Pizza & Chicken

Boss' Pizza & Chicken Franchise FDD, Costs & Fees (2025)

Boss' Pizza & Chicken serves a variety of pizzas, chicken dishes, and sides, offering a casual dining experience with a focus on quality and flavor.

Boss’ Pizza & Chicken is a dynamic restaurant franchise known for its broasted chicken, creative specialty pizzas, and a range of classic pub-style dishes. Established in 2005 by Jeremy Seefeldt in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, the brand has steadily expanded, now operating multiple locations throughout the United States.

The company’s headquarters is located at 4804 S. Minnesota Ave., Suite 105, Sioux Falls, SD 57108. Since launching its franchise program in 2021, Boss’ Pizza & Chicken has focused on expanding its footprint and increasing brand recognition. New franchisees can expect an initial franchise fee of $30,000 and a royalty fee of 5% on weekly gross sales.

The menu boasts more than 35 distinctive specialty pizzas, including customer favorites like the Bacon Mac N’ Cheese and Spicy Ranch Buffalo Chicken, as well as its signature broasted chicken. This cooking method preserves moisture and enhances flavor, offering a unique alternative to traditional fried chicken.

The restaurant also serves a wide variety of sides and appetizers, including pasta dishes, wings in assorted sauces, mini-bites, and beloved pub snacks like nachos and mozzarella sticks.

Training

Boss’ Pizza and Chicken offers a structured and detailed training program to prepare franchisees for successful operations.

  1. Initial Training Program
The Operating Principal, along with key management personnel, must attend a seven-day program for Traditional Restaurants or a fourteen-day program for Sports Bar Restaurants. This training covers restaurant operations, equipment usage, customer service, marketing, sales programs, and cost control methods. It is conducted at a designated location, typically in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, or another approved site.
  2. Opening Assistance
Before launch, Boss’ Pizza and Chicken provides the services of two representatives for four days (Traditional Restaurant) or three representatives for twelve days (Sports Bar) to assist with opening preparations and initial operations. This hands-on support ensures the team is ready to implement what they learned during training.
  3. Supplemental and Refresher Training
The franchisor may require the Operating Principal and management team to attend additional or refresher training programs. These may cover updates to operations, new products, or system changes, and are sometimes tied to performance reviews or compliance needs. Attendance at mandatory franchise conventions and meetings is also part of ongoing education.

Territory Protection

Boss’ Pizza and Chicken grants its franchisees a “Protected Territory” defined by zip codes or geographic boundaries, which is formalized in the franchise agreement. During the agreement’s term, the franchisor will not open or allow another franchise to open within this territory as long as the franchisee complies with the agreement.

The protected area typically includes a minimum population of 40,000 people, but in larger markets, it may be limited to a small radius, such as 1/8th mile around the restaurant.

However, Boss’ Pizza and Chicken does not provide an exclusive territory because it reserves rights to operate or license “Captive Market Locations” like airports, hospitals, or campuses inside the protected territory.
