Franny's Farmacy is a health-and-wellness franchise focused on hemp-derived CBD products and holistic wellness solutions. The company was founded in 2018 by Franny Tacy.

It was launched in Asheville, North Carolina, where the brand still maintains its headquarters. The business is known for operating a vertically integrated supply chain that covers farming, manufacturing, distribution, and retail.

Franny’s Farmacy began franchising in 2019. The brand sells a wide range of CBD-based wellness products, including tinctures, topicals, edibles, hemp flower, THCa items, and products for pets. Its retail stores highlight natural ingredients and transparent sourcing.

The franchise stands out because it controls the entire “seed-to-shelf” process. Many competitors rely on third-party suppliers, but Franny’s manages each stage internally to ensure higher product quality, consistent potency, and regulatory compliance. This vertical integration also supports strong brand trust among consumers.

Training

Franny’s Farmacy provides a multi-tiered training program to ensure franchisees and their employees are prepared to operate in line with brand standards. The training includes both pre-opening sessions and ongoing educational support. Below are the key components:

  1. Pre-Opening Training
Franny’s Farmacy offers its standard pre-opening training to the Principal Executive and up to six additional employees at no cost (excluding travel and lodging). This program is conducted at their headquarters or another designated location and must be completed at least four weeks before opening.
  2. New Franchisee Training
The Principal Executive is required to complete a specific training program tailored for new franchisees. All other employees must also complete training to Franny’s satisfaction as a condition for opening the business.
  3. Instructional Format
Training is delivered through lectures, discussions, on-the-job demonstrations, and the use of the Operating Manual and other materials. Training is supervised by the General Manager and completion to the franchisor’s satisfaction is mandatory.

Territory Protection

Franny’s Farmacy grants its franchisees a protected territory where the franchisor will not establish another company-owned or franchised outlet selling the same or similar products under the same or similar trademarks.

This protection is valid as long as the franchisee complies with the franchise agreement, and the defined territory is typically a 3-mile radius in urban areas or a 5-mile radius in rural zones. However, if the location is in a Non-Traditional setting such as airports or hospitals, that specific location does not receive territorial protection.

Despite the territory protection, Franny’s Farmacy reserves broad rights to operate or authorize others to operate businesses outside the protected area under the same or different trademarks.
