The franchise agreement for CBD American Shaman includes a detailed and structured training program to prepare franchisees and their managers for successful operations. Below are the numbered programs and training components provided:
Initial Franchise Training CBD American Shaman provides initial training to up to two individuals—typically the franchisee (or Operating Partner) and the Store Manager. This training includes at least 32 hours of classroom instruction over four consecutive days at the Shaman Office in North Kansas City, Missouri, plus an online CBD certification course that takes around 8 hours to complete.
Completion Requirement & Costs Trainees must complete this training to the Franchisor’s satisfaction before the store opens. If the Manager fails to complete it satisfactorily, a replacement must be hired and trained at the franchisee’s expense. The initial training is included in the franchise fee if both individuals attend simultaneously; otherwise, extra fees apply.
Ongoing and Supplemental Training The Franchisor may require up to 16 hours of additional or refresher training, with at least 10 days' notice. This training focuses on job-specific duties and products and is conducted at a location the Franchisor designates. Associated fees must be paid before training begins.
Territory Protection
CBD American Shaman provides franchisees with a defined but limited level of territorial protection. Franchisees are assigned a specific location for their store, and while they may not relocate or open additional stores without approval, this does not guarantee exclusive rights to a geographic territory.
The franchisor explicitly states that the franchisee does not have the right to establish additional outlets or franchises.
Moreover, while the franchisee operates from an approved location, the franchisor retains the right to operate, license, or distribute products through various other channels, potentially within the same area.
