Clear Lakes Dental Franchise FDD, Costs & Fees (2025)

Clear Lakes Dental provides comprehensive dental care services, ensuring patients receive high-quality treatment and personalized care for their oral health.

Clear Lakes Dental Franchise is a fast-growing dental practice franchise founded in October 2017 in the Twin Cities region of Minnesota. Headquartered in Brooklyn Park, MN, the company empowers associate dentists to own and operate their own clinics.

The franchise began franchising soon after its launch and now supports eight locations in Robbinsdale, East Saint Paul, Brooklyn Park, Coon Rapids, West Saint Paul, Richfield, Eden Prairie, and Rochester, with plans for further expansion in 2025.

It offers comprehensive services—from preventive cleanings and emergency care to crowns, bridges, root canals, dentures, and cosmetic treatments.

Clear Lakes differentiates itself by combining turnkey practice ownership with AI-driven systems, proven operational support, and built-in patient pipelines that deliver busy practices from day one. Its “Try Before You Own” model, peer network, and data-backed marketing make it uniquely accessible—even for first-time owners.

Training

Clear Lakes Dental provides an extensive training program for franchisees to ensure operational readiness and adherence to brand standards. This training is mandatory and must be completed before opening any franchise location.

  1. Initial Mandatory Training
The initial training is provided to both the franchise owner (dentist) and the Dental Operations Manager (DOM). It is conducted through training videos, live webcasts, telephone meetings, and in-person sessions. The training must be completed to the franchisor's satisfaction at least two months prior to the franchise opening.
  2. On-site Opening Training
One or more trainers are provided on-site at the franchise office for approximately one day during the opening. This ensures real-time support and practical setup guidance.
  3. Additional Training Upon Request
Franchisees may request further training by giving at least 30 days’ notice. This training, held at designated locations, is optional and customized based on need but involves travel and lodging costs borne by the franchisee.

Territory Protection

Clear Lakes Dental provides its franchisees with a designated “Franchise Territory” where no other Clear Lakes Dental location of the same type will be established, as long as the franchisee remains in compliance with the agreement.

This territory is determined based on market analysis, demographics, and placement strategy. While this offers some form of territorial protection, the franchisor makes it clear that the territory is not exclusive and reserves the right to operate or authorize others within nearby areas or through different channels.

Although the franchisee is shielded from direct competition under the same brand within their assigned territory, Clear Lakes Dental retains the right to engage in alternative distribution methods such as online sales or vending machines, even within the franchisee's boundaries.
