Fastest Labs is a pioneering non-medical drug, alcohol, and DNA testing franchise. Founded in 2000 in San Antonio, Texas, by Dave and LeDona Claflin as LabWork NOW under Enhouse America Inc., the company officially became Fas-Tes® Franchise Systems, LLC in July 2010 when franchising began.
The franchise is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, and began using the Fastest Labs® name in 2013, with trademark registration completed in 2014. It has since grown rapidly—with over 230 operating locations by 2025—and offers fast, efficient testing services in clean, friendly facilities.
Fastest Labs offers urgent, affordable B2B and B2C testing solutions, including urine, hair, saliva, sweat patch, DNA paternity, and background checks.
Here's what you would need to invest if you were to start this franchise. These costs are provided by the franchisor in the Franchise Disclosure Document.

Initial Training Program
Before launching the franchise, the franchisor offers an Initial Training Program for the franchisee or an approved principal and any designated manager of the business. This training, conducted at a specified location and time, typically lasts about one week but can extend up to ten days if needed.
The program encompasses key areas such as operations, pricing, drug testing, marketing, sales, computer hardware and software, start-up strategies, and other crucial aspects of running the business. Franchisees are responsible for their own travel and living expenses, as well as those of their employees, during this training period.
Ongoing and Supplemental Training
Once the franchise business is operational, the franchisor provides ongoing training for any new managers upon the franchisee's request, with reasonable limits on frequency and timing. Additional training sessions may incur a fee, including a daily charge of $500 plus travel and lodging expenses for the franchisor's trainers.
Franchisees, principals, and designated managers may be required to attend supplemental training programs during the franchise term, held at a time and location designated by the franchisor.
The franchisor ensures territory protection for its franchisees by granting them the right to operate a Fastest Labs business within a defined geographic area, referred to as the "Territory."
Franchisees are restricted from soliciting or providing services to customers outside their designated Territory. This includes avoiding service provision if the customer's billing zip code is within another franchisee's Territory, unless explicitly authorized by the franchisor in writing or as specified in the Franchise Brand Standards Manual.
The franchisor maintains certain rights, such as the ability to operate or permit others to operate a Fastest Labs business outside a franchisee's Territory. However, within the franchisee's designated Territory, the franchisor agrees not to establish or authorize any other person or entity, apart from the franchisee, to operate a franchised business for the duration of the franchise agreement.
